CyberConnect's Ethereum L2 for social apps surges 33% on massive volume

CyberConnect is an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain purpose-built for social applications and AI integration. Originally launched as a decentralized social graph protocol in 2021, it rebranded to "Cyber" in May 2024, repositioning itself as a foundational social data layer for the next generation of Web3 applications.
The protocol enables developers to build decentralized social apps where users maintain true ownership of their digital identity, content, connections, and monetization streams. The mainnet launched on May 15, 2024, built on Optimism's OP Stack with EigenLayer providing restaked security.
The most telling signal is volume. CYBER's average daily volume ran $0.8M–$3M for six consecutive days before today's $19.30M surge. That's 6–24x normal activity.
CYBER is the native gas and governance token of the Cyber L2 network. Validators stake CYBER to participate in consensus and earn economic rewards. Stakers receive derivative tokens (cCYBER and stCYBER) that grant proportional governance weight.
